At Carteret Education Foundation (formerly Carteret County Public School Foundation), our mission is to enhance the quality of education and programs available to our educators and students through our three main areas of focus: INNOVATION, INTERVENTION AND INVESTMENT

Honoring Our Past, Embracing Our Future

Founded in 2000 by a passionate group of educators and community leaders, the Carteret County Public School Foundation began with a simple but powerful mission: to enhance educational opportunities, support dedicated teachers, and invest directly in the success of our local schools.

For more than two decades, the Foundation has remained a steadfast partner to the Carteret County Public School System—investing over $2.8 million into classrooms, teacher development, and crisis assistance.

In 2025, the organization embraced a bold new chapter—rebranding with a new name, new look, and renewed purpose as the Carteret Education Foundation. Today, we carry forward that proud legacy with expanded programs, deeper community connections, and an unwavering commitment to public education in Carteret County.

A Legacy of Action & Impact

To enhance the quality of education in Carteret County by providing resources to support innovation, intervention, and investment in our public schools.
