2026 Big Rock Teaching Fellows Scholarship Applications Are Open
The Big Rock Teaching Fellows Scholarship supports three graduating seniors from Carteret County each year who are passionate about pursuing a career in education. As part of our Homegrown Teachers Initiative, this scholarship covers tuition, fees, and books to help recipients earn their teaching degrees—with a shared goal of returning to serve and inspire the next generation right here in Carteret County.

Scholarships can be created in honor or memory of someone special or to support students pursuing careers in a specific field or trade.
William Moore Davis generously donated $50,000 to impact students of East Carteret High School with generous grants to support them in their chosen career paths.
